The Choirs of the TriCounty Choir Institute
The TriCounty Choir Institute currently runs three choirs:
The Village Singers
The Village Singers is a group of Singers of all ages that meets once a week on Monday evenings at a church in Sewickley from 7:15-9:30pm. Using Estill Voice Techniques, their repertoire consists of all colors of sacred to secular music including: Classical from Renaissance to Spirituals and Gospel to Contemporary; pop; folk; jazz; country; musical theater and belt.
During December they give about 5-6 concerts for local churches, "Light Up Night in North Hills", community and retirement home venues. 2nd Semester, they will give 11 performances during Lent of the original Musical Passion Play, "Why Must He Die?" at churches throughout the area. This will be their 23rd year of continual presentations. They either participate in the onstage cast or choose to sing in the chorus from the pews. Then in May, they give a lighter concert. This past year's concert was "Mega Musicals".
*If you are 3rd Grade through High School, you can receive private lessons in Estill Voice Techniques and then qualify to join the Village Singers.
The Village Quartet is our all male exclusive quartet that sings all venues of music and can perform a patriotic, valentine, religious, Christmas or any occasion program for a private party, country club, community event or retirement home.
The Ladies of Note is our newly formed exclusive women's quartet that also sings all venues of music for any event!
